Do we find ourselves throwing away the same products every week? Do we look into the refrigerator and have to discard the same food regularly? Looking at what we throw away can help identify products we didn’t need to buy. Perhaps we intend to eat something nice but never get round to cooking it? Perhaps we’ve been tempted by the multi-pack offers but only need one? Perhaps we use a lot of something but could use less? Perhaps we regularly order more than we eat from a take-away? How much could we save in our shopping basket by buying only what we need? Multiply this up to see the savings over a year. It may be a surprisingly big number!
And of course, with less bought we also reduce the amount we throw away. Buy Less and Bin Less.
