Researchers are currently working on some really exciting technologies that have the potential to make a difference to climate change. We don’t quite know which ones will be rolled out in sufficient quantity to make a difference and there may be others that are not described here that will end up being really important. To solve climate change quicker we need more support from our leaders to help our scientists and engineers push forwards with this crucial work.
Many of the technologies currently available will continue to help us well into the future. Some of them will become cheaper as they become mass produced and improved.

The encyclical Laudato Si’ tells us that future technologies will be part of the solution. In addition we will need to renew our relationship with the created world and with our brothers and sisters too. Our values reflected in our lifestyles will be important too: living simply, sustainably and in solidarity with the poor.
