Before COP26, the former US vice president and environmental campaigner Al Gore shared his thoughts on how we could solve the climate crisis. In his latest video he identifies the climate crisis as a result of the clash of our modern civilization and the Earth’s ecological systems and walks us through the latest evidence. He discusses the global interconnectedness of our civilization, the effect of climate change on the poor and marginalized and the inequitable distribution of resources for healthcare and climate solutions. He calls for a sustainability revolution and examines capitalism in terms of its narrow view of economic value and the dangers of hyper-inequality.
